These are designed to meet any legal requirements and to provide a framework for managers so that they behave consistently when confronted with similar issues. |

Those taking part discuss the implications of poor attendance for the business; review the policy and procedures for managing attendance and their responsibilities for putting these into practice; learn how to improve attendance by carrying out effective return to work interviews. |

Those taking part review, in broad terms, the contents of the Data Protection Act 1998; identify the responsibilities of those involved in the use of personal data; relate the eight principles of good information handling to their own working circumstances. |
